Is that supposed to be a amphibian, as in a frog animal? Then, the "Monster Hunter" series creators would have to check some info before playing around like this... amphibians don't have claws. And their teeth are different. And the iris shape is wrong. And two things on this creature makes me absolutely CERTAIN it can't be a amphibian - First; it hasn't webbed feet (I don't know the english word, but I think it's the right one. Else, I mean skin between the toes). Second, it has scaled skin.
I know I know too much about some animals in common , but... that's how it is.
